what to expect
Expect to have a good time. Expect to be yourself. Expect to be pooped out by the end especially if you have kids. Expect me to be casual and relaxed and you do the same. Expect lots of candid shots and maybe a few posed shots as well. Expect to be creative and get out of your comfort zone just a little bit.
Sara B's recommendations.....
Don't wear anything you wouldn't wear on any given day. If you are casual people, wear casual clothes.
Do splurge a little on a funky new shirt for Jack or a colorful new pair of shoes for Jill if you'd like....pictures last forever.
Don't be too matchy matchy. Let your individual personalities show.
Do choose a location you love. A favorite park, your own backyard, an ice cream shop you frequent as a family or the lake where you spend your summer days would be perfect!. Feeling comfortable and relaxed in your surroundings will provide natural and candid images.
Do bring a few extras along if you'd like. A sucker or balloon to entertain the little one, a colorful beanie or head band to add a bit of color and variety.
Do give your little ones a nice long nap the day of photos and make sure they are well fed.
Don't expect said little ones to sit perfectly still and smile. If it happens, lucky you. If not, that is OK too.
I like my sessions to be fun and memorable and casual and comfortable. Can't wait to get started!
